Last year, this eight member multicultural developing worker co-op team wowed the socks off our Pittsfield community, launching a pay what you can model in it's first two months of opening.
The iconic ice cream shop, with it's super large soft serve cones has been a historical sweet spot in the hearts of our Berkshire community for over four decades, calling back tourists and locals alike!

Ecuadorean Cleaning Co-op
These ladies are a powerhouse! Now in their second year of development, having completed six months of cooperative business classes, crafted their business plan and by-laws, they are now successfully incorporated in MA as E.C.C. Services LLC, and run as a worker cooperative.

Handyman Group Services
Meet Edison. Terry, Nelson, David, and Stephen, worker co-op members of this incredible team. The team offers skills in masonry, sheet rocking, painting, flooring, odd jobs, and even electrical and plumbing work, as two of the members complete their licensing in these fields. We're so proud of this budding cooperative!

Las Cocineras Latinas Co-op
These marvelous ladies are switching it up! Instead of a worker cooperative, they are a five member producer cooperative representing four different businesses, Gustitos Boricuas, Delicias de mi Tierra, Bendicho Capricho, and Berkshire Decoration and Events. Ana, Mariam, Nubia Sandra, Marcela are super excited to join this year's Pittsfield Farmer's Market as an official producer cooperative. Read more....

Language Justice Solutions
Language Justice Solutions, a worker cooperative in development, seeks to engage in justice work through language access. Already boasting four major contracts, Pittsfield District Court, Head Start, BEAT and BAC. it's two-fold focus - bi-lingual curriculum design and multi-lingual interpretation - is meeting the needs of our community.

Artisans
At 18 members strong, this bi-lingual multicultural producer artisans collective mission is to increase art engagement among low income communities, create social justice change through interactive art that educates, all while strengthening their own economic feasibility through collectively producing and selling their art...

Transportation
Rose & Cole's Transport, founded by Terry, Nicole and Ed, was the first cooperative developed, and coincided with the founding of Roots & Dreams! It's mission is two fold- to provide low income riders with transportation while also paying a living wage to drivers. Roots & Dreams continues to be the co-op's fiduciary partner to better access grants to subsidize rides. It looks to graduate as an independent cooperative this year! Click here to book a ride!

Child Care
This immigrant led team seeks to provide bi-lingual affordable child care services here In Pittsfield, MA. They've completed six months of introductory cooperative business classes and have completed a business plan and continue to work on their budget and projections.
